The Kiwifruit Season Launches in Singapore

Some 30 media and guests learnt about ZESPRI's latest health science research and enjoyed three novel kiwifruit recipes at the launch of ZESPRI™ Kiwifruit Season in Singapore on 28 May.

Daniel Mathieson, ZESPRI™ Market Manager for Southeast Asia, kicked off the Season announcing this year's new partnership with the Singapore Health Promotion Board to reach up to 30,000 primary students with messages about healthy eating and getting mum or dad to pop some kiwifruit in the shopping basket.

Lynley Drummond, ZESPRI™ Health Science Manager, told journalists of kiwifruit's role as the 'immunity booster' in light of the current global flu season. To add local flavour, Dr Leslie Tay, a media-savvy food blogger and medical doctor, demonstrated his three original kiwifruit recipes using Asian ingredients which have been hugely popular among local media and his blog, read by 300,000 people per month.

To date the campaign has generated more than 30 positive media articles about ZESPRI™ Kiwifruit and supported the surging sales in the Singapore market this year.
